This marks the first “from scratch” registry launch for Afilias since it opened registration for the .INFO generic TLD in 2001.

Ab sofort erweiterte Maßnahmen gegen unzulässige .info-Registrierungen aus der Sunrise Period

Newtown / Pennsylvania, 6. Dezember 2001. Afilias, das Vergabe-Unternehmen der neuen Top Level Domain .info, erweitert seine Richtlinien zur Sunrise Period und zum Challenge Process mit sofortiger Wirkung. Die Sunrise Period ging der öffentlichen Registrierung voraus und war ausschließlich Inhabern von Markennamen vorbehalten. Den Sunrise Challenge Process, der von der World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) betreut wird, richtete Afilias für Domain-Konflikte zwischen Markeninhabern ein. Mit den neuen Richtlinien will Afilias sicherstellen, dass Marken tatsächlich geschützt werden.

Global Phishing Survey results highlight .INFO anti-abuse success
